Trumpet Tune, from The Indian Queen, easy version
Melody and left-hand roots
The melody as Purcell wrote it, with the left hand playing only the root of the harmony at the start of each bar. It leaves out 100 of the piece's 282 notes and adds none, so it is still the real piece: level 2 of 7, where the piece as written is level 3.
- The whole easy version182 notes
Plays on a MIDI keyboard in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a computer, or Chrome on an Android phone or tablet, or on the keys on screen without one.
The piece as written, level 3, and all 4 of its versions are on Trumpet Tune, from The Indian Queen's page.
