Reading practice for your own site
Two small widgets a piano teacher, a music blog or a homeschool page can paste in: ten notes to name, and a short sight-reading exercise, both new each day.
They are free, need no account, and set no cookies; nothing about your visitors reaches us but which page they open if they follow a link to Clefsight. Each fits a phone at the size given, and works on any site that lets you paste an iframe (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Google Sites, Notion embeds).
Name the note
A new set of 10 notes on the staff each day, named by tapping their letter. A right answer is ticked in blue pencil, a wrong one names the note in red. At the end it gives the score and a link to the full note reading game.
Paste this where the widget should go:
<iframe src="https://clefsight.com/embed/note-reading" width="360" height="440" style="border:0;max-width:100%" title="Name the note" loading="lazy"></iframe>
- Add
?clef=(treble, bass, both) and&range=(middle-c, landmarks, ledger-lines) to the address to choose the notes.
Today's sight-reading
A short printed exercise, a different one each day, engraved like a real page. Play it at a MIDI keyboard on Clefsight, where every note is graded, or print it.
Paste this where the widget should go:
<iframe src="https://clefsight.com/embed/sight-reading" width="360" height="680" style="border:0;max-width:100%" title="Today's sight-reading, level 1" loading="lazy"></iframe>
- Add
?level=(1 to 6) to the address for another level; your visitors can change it in the widget too. In a frame 560 pixels wide or more the music sets two lines of four bars, so a height of 420 is enough.
You may use either widget on any site, free, as long as it stays as it is. Questions go to support@clefsight.com.
